Calling all Computer Peoples
Okay kids, here's the thing. As you know my lappy died earlier this year. It was very traumatic. I have been thinking about what kind of replacement I want. And honestly I can't. I don't know if I want another laptop or a desk top. I don't even know what I really need. So I need your help.The mission should you choose to accept it: design/pick out my new computer.
I mainly mess around with basic web design stuff--meaning my Flash skills suck and I don't use it, but XHTML, CSS, XML, XSLT, a wee bit of JavaScript, PHP, MYSQL, and soon to come AJAX. Digital photography on a minor scale (as I tend to stick to old school film more), along with that Illustrator, Fireworks that sort of stuff. And iTunes. On the old computer I had two files of most of my music...one MP3 to put on my minidiscs and one in iTunes format (wasted space I know, but sometimes that's the way things went).
Other notes: I have access to Microsoft OS & Office for free. I don't game contrary to what you may want to believe.
So help me out. Feel free to email me your suggestions. Thinking of purchasing at the end of the month--the computer I checked out from the library has to go back!
