Hanging the Head in Shame
As you may realize I got a new computer. I believed that I could do some basic things like install XP & Office on said computer. I was wrong. I was very very wrong. I no nothing about computers when push comes to shove.For some odd reason my new computer will not let me download and install software from the wondrous internet. I don't know why. Yes this includes Service Pack 2 which I need so that it will install my 2.0 USB ports.
I have phoned many, many friends asking for help. I have attempted different types of technical support and nothing is panning out. I am very frustrated and have not left the house (with exception of swimming this morning) since I got the box yesterday at 4pm. I also haven't really had any food--partly because there is nothing to eat in the house and partly because I feel ill about this whole computer thing. If anyone, anyone at all feels like they might know what to do please, pretty pretty please call me.
I can't install Mozilla or Thunderbird or even Trillian at this point.
